Application

▸ Is Housing Guaranteed?

On-campus housing is not guaranteed. We encourage students and potential students to apply as early as possible to secure an earlier priority date for building selection.

▸ Should I apply for housing before I am admitted?

Yes, You are able to apply for housing through the application status page when you apply to the university. It is encouraged to apply as early as possible. When you apply you secure your spot in line to select your preferred living location. Please note, there is a $25 non-refundable deposit when you apply for housing.

▸ When is my housing agreement due?

Each student has at least two weeks to complete their housing agreement to secure campus housing. To complete the Student Housing Agreement, students must sign and accept the terms and conditions. Please note, completing your Student Housing Agreement does not confirm your admission to UF. You will need to confirm your admission by May 1st with the Admissions Office.

▸ DOES MY ADMISSION TERM IMPACT MY HOUSING?

In short, yes. But we do offer options. For Fall admitted students all residence halls are open. Once you are assigned a hall and room, that is your home for the Fall and Spring semesters.

For Summer B admitted students you have 2 options.

Full First-Year Housing

This is one of the most popular options as it allows you to stay in the same room for Summer B, Fall, and Spring semesters. This is also the easiest since you will only have to move once*.

*Summer B students participating in LLCs in halls that are not open for the summer may have to move out and back in for the Fall semester.

Summer B Only and/or Fall-Spring Housing

This option is perfect for students who wish to live in one residence hall over Summer and a new one in the Fall and Spring semesters. With this option, students should plan to move all of their belongings out at the end of the Summer and bring them back at the beginning of the Fall semester.
